CFM Leap Engines Secures CBSA With Lufthansa Technik

Repair and Support divisions are vital divisions in aircraft manufacturing companies as they are required for any malfunction that may occur. In recent news Lufthansa Technik has formally signed and agreed to the CFM’s Branded Service Agreement (CBSA) which took place on Febuary 28th of 2018.

They plan to use the programme to be able to help repair and maintain the LEAP-1A engines becoming their MRO of choice. The company’s relationships begun with the beginning of the maintaining of the CFM56 product line, a previously manufactured CFM engine line.

CFM company is very pleased as they are able to maintain and continue to have the great relationship with Lufthansa Technik as president and CEO of CFM International, Gaël Méheust, states how pleased they are to be able to nurture their long-time relationship with the addition of the new aircraft to the program.

Not only is will this agreement be beneficial to the CFM but also a plus for GE Aviaiton and Safran Aircraft Engines, as CFM is joint company between the two large corporations.

Along with the pleased CFM, Luthansa Technik, also vows to complete their part in the MRO services that the program offers. Stated by Vice president of Engine Services of Lufthansa Technik, Bernhaud Krüger-Sprengel,
